UVic response to COVID-19 (coronavirus)

As part of our response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, this website has been created to provide the university community with the most up-to-date information about COVID-19, including tips for staying healthy, information for travellers, and other resources for students, faculty and staff.

UVic is continuing to follow the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada and the provincial health officer in this rapidly evolving situation.

June 3, 2020 (3:30 p.m.)

  • We honour our graduating students by inviting them to an in-person convocation within the next three years. This year, Graduating Students may also choose to receive a Grad Box. Read update.

May 29, 2020 (11 a.m.)

  • President Cassels provides an update to students around academic programming and the supports that will be available to you as online learners and members of our university community. Read update

May 28, 2020 (11:30 a.m.)

  • While we await WorkSafeBC approved guidelines, the university is developing Safe Work Plan instructions to support the safe and gradual resumption of on-campus activities and services on campus. Read update.
