Welcome Gina Wheatcroft

Gina Wheatcroft has joined the University of Victoria as Director of Alumni Relations and Executive Director of the Alumni Association. Wheatcroft is an executive leader with over 25 years’ experience in advancement and stakeholder engagement. She joins UVic from ViTreo Group, a strategic fundraising consultancy firm, where she was the regional director for Edmonton & Northern Alberta, responsible for business development and management of clients in fundraising, alumni relations, organizational development and governance.  

Prior to her time at ViTreo, she spent six years with The University of Queensland, where she developed an internationally recognized alumni-relations program that included an institution-wide engagement vision and innovative outreach programs. Before her move to Australia, she worked for 16 years in alumni relations at the University of Alberta. She is passionate about creating strategic plans to build programs for maximum impact and looks forward to working alongside her UVic staff, volunteers and connecting with alumni.
