November 28, 2017 is Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a time to celebrate and encourage activities that support charities and non-profits. UVic is taking part in Giving Tuesday for the second time this year; sharing the spirit of philanthropy with all members of our campus community.

The video below from UVic Rocketry is just one example of the grants allocated from the Alumni Fund, which gets a boost through your donations on Giving Tuesday. In the past, this fund has helped students launch rockets, host conferences, put on case competitions and travel overseas to do volunteer work—all memorable learning experiences that they will draw on when they graduate.
