The YYJ Airport Shuttle offers service from the airport to various city locations. Buses leave the airport every half hour between 4 a.m. and midnight, 7 days a week.

From Nanaimo/up-island

Victoria AreaFrom Sooke

Follow Highway 14 east towards Victoria. In Colwood turn onto Highway 1 to Victoria. At the McKenzie Avenue/Admiral Road intersection, turn left. Follow McKenzie Avenue for about 7 km east, then turn right onto McGill Road, just in front of Centennial Stadium.

One new facility is currently under construction at the University of Victoria.

UVic's Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA) will provide the best training and learning facilities possible for students, varsity athletes and other users as well as an opportunity for all community members to access UVic's athletics and recreation resources as well as specific services and research programs.

Site preparation began the week of Feb. 25, 2013. Completion of the first phase of construction is targeted for spring 2015.

Gabriola Road between McKenzie Avenue and Ring Road is open to two-way vehicle traffic; however, the road surface will remain uneven until repaving takes place in spring 2014. Cyclists are asked to use caution.

Major renovation project

The University Centre Cafeteria will close on Dec. 13 for a major renovation and expansion. The eight-month project will see a shift from a cafeteria-style model to a market-style concept where food is freshly prepared before the customer. The new facility, Mystic Market, is scheduled to open in fall 2014.

During the construction period, a Construction Café will open in the University Centre, and Food Services will extend the hours and increase staffing levels at all other campus food outlets.

Visit uvic.ca/food for hours and maps of other Food Service locations, as well as updates on construction progress. We apologize for any inconvenience.
