University Review Committee (URC)

Under Article 40 of the Framework Agreement, the University Review Committee (URC) has jurisdiction over appeals directed to it in respect of:

  • annual salary adjustments of faculty members or librarians
  • negative recommendations with regard to the reappointment, tenure or promotion of faculty members
  • negative decisions with regard to the removal of probationary status or negative recommendations with regard to promotion of librarians
  • a denial of an application for Study Leave or a Development Term made in accordance with the Leave Appeal Procedure of Article 52 of the Framework Agreement
