The University of Victoria Foundation, established in 1954, is responsible for managing almost $270 million in over 1000 endowment funds. The Foundation board employs investment counsel to advise on fund management and adheres to established guidelines and endowment management policies that attempt to produce the greatest yield each year, while at the same time protect the value of the funds against inflation.

The University of Victoria Foundation is governed by the University of Victoria Foundation Act (pdf). It has approved the following policies:
