Healthy campus

What is a healthy campus?

A healthy campus is one where people, programs, policies, and spaces foster well-being as a resource for community members to thrive and succeed. When well-being is infused into everyday actions and decisions we strengthen the health of people who live, work and learn on our campus. This in turn strengthens the ecological, economic and social sustainability of the UVic community and beyond.

UVic Health Services takes a leadership role in engaging and enabling students, staff, faculty and community partners in working collectively towards creating campus conditions that enhance student well-being and success. Our work emphasizes a positive proactive approach, moving beyond a focus on individual behaviors, towards a wide range of social and environmental interventions.
