Theoretical physics

The Theoretical Physics Group is actively involved in several research questions relating to the structure of matter. Focus areas range from theories of the electroweak scale, such as supersymmetry, to mechanisms explaining the baryon asymmetry of the universe, and to astroparticle phyiscs and the nature of dark matter. The group is also actively involved in the formal study of strongly interacting regimes in the Standard Model, using various novel techniques some of which arise from string theory.

More information about the research program in theoretical physics is found at the Victoria Subatomic Physics and Accelerator Research Centre website.
