Graduate application information

  • Although applications may be submitted at any point throughout the year, typically, student applications are reviewed in Jan - Apr of each year for Sept. entry. To be considered in the first round of UVic fellowship scholarships, applications must be received by January 15th of each year. In some cases January or May entry may be possible.
  • Student application information can be found on the Department of Physics & Astronomy webpage and also on the Faculty of Graduate Studies webpage.
  • We receive more applications than we have available spots, hence, applications are reviewed and offers made on a competitive basis.
  • Stipends are awarded on a competitive basis for students completing their MSc degrees at UVic (and elsewhere) and interested in pursuing PhD degree studies.

Undergraduate co-op program

The Medical Physics program offers co-op work terms to students in the undergraduate co-op program. The exact projects and timelines depend on the student and current circumstances.

Interested students can check out the UVic Physics and Astronomy Undergraduate Co-op program.
