Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Statistics

We invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Statistics. The Department enjoys a strong international profile in both theoretical and applied statistics research. Current areas of specialization in statistics include bioinformatics, biostatistics, Bayesian statistics, capture-recapture models, empirical likelihood theory, industrial statistics, optimal design of experiments, robust statistics, small sample asymptotics, spatial statistics, and statistical ecology. The Department has significant external collaborative ties with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, Victoria Hospice, BC Cancer Agency, as well as many on-campus collaborations. Teaching assistant positions

We hire teaching assistants (TAs) three times a year usually in July, November and March. Our TAs teach tutorials, work as tutors in the Math & Stats Assistance Centre or they work as markers. If you would like to receive an application form next time we hire, or if you have any questions, please send an email to the coordinator Alfonso Gracia-Saz at msassist@uvic.ca.
