Get involved

Volunteer

By volunteering in the herbarium you will gain botanical knowledge as well as valuable skills and experience in the herbarium process which are applicable to many jobs in botany. You will contribute to ensuring the UVic Herbarium remains a useful, contemporary resource for students, professional botanists and the public.

Cornus nuttalliiWe are currently looking for volunteers to identify plants, mount dried specimens and help us transfer our collection information to an electronic database. All necessary training will be provided.
