How do I...?

Apply for regulatory approval (human ethics, animal care ethics, etc.)

  • You'll need regulatory approval if your research involves human subjectsanimals, or if you'll be using research materials that require biosafety, radiation safety or hazardous materials registration.
  • You must have approvals in place before funds are released and your research begins.

The Strategic Research Plan (SRP) identifies UVic’s research directions and areas of strategic priority on which to build the institutional research capacity. The SRP also guides UVic’s strategic resource allocation, especially how the Canada Research Chair (CRC) and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) programs will be used to enhance our capabilities.
