Launch of the consultation on the Council of Canadian Academies' Report
Dear colleagues:
I am pleased to announce that the consultation on the Council of Canadian Academies' (the Council) July 2012 report, Informing Research Choices: Indicators and Judgment, is now live. We invite you to visit the Consultations section of the NSERC Web site to learn more about the consultation and to take the time to complete the survey.
The information contained in the expert panel's report and feedback from the research community on the findings will contribute to NSERC's review of potential methodologies to allocate budgets among Evaluation Groups under the Discovery Grants Program. NSERC's goal is to implement any potential changes in this methodology in time for the 2014 competition. Please note that the results of the survey are not intended to be applied to the peer review evaluation of research proposals submitted by individual researchers or teams.
Stakeholders in the research community are invited to complete the on-line survey or share their feedback via e-mail at connect@nserc-crsng.gc.ca until January 11, 2013.
