About the president
Professor Jamie Cassels is the University of Victoria's seventh president. Cassels is a legal scholar of international stature, a nationally recognized master teacher, and a talented university administrator noted for outstanding leadership and vision. Read more.

The university's strategic plan in action
In January 2012, the University of Victoria adopted its fourth multi-year strategic plan, A Vision for the Future: Building on Excellence. As the university continues to move forward on implementing Building on Excellence, it will, under the leadership of President Cassels, work to identify its highest strategic priorities within the plan.
