Dr. Jane Gair

Medical genetics

Dr. Gair is a tutor for Problem Based Learning and Doctor, Patient and Society courses at the Island Medical Program (IMP), with a particular interest in teaching students about patient empathy. She is also the faculty development coordinator for the IMP.

Dr. Gair's research is in the area of medical genetics, with a particular focus on abnormal chromosome numbers in human pregnancy.

We are looking for children, aged 10-16 years to participate in an engaging, 12-week exercise program (30 minutes per session, 3 times/week), based around fun computer games and stationary bikes. This is part of a study aimed at examining the impact of an aerobic exercise intervention on learning, memory, mood, behaviour in children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
