About the International Office
The International Office contributes to the University's initiatives of global engagement by representing the University of Victoria internationally, facilitating and overseeing international activities and programs, as well as enhancing the student experience by supporting incoming international students and UVic students who wish to study abroad as part of their degree.
The Office is responsible for operationalizing and supporting the strategic internationalization objectives of the University by working with the campus community and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to UVic's international initiatives that reinforce the UVic strategic plan.

Student Experience team
- international student services, including pre-arrival support, arrival and adaptation support, ongoing support to facilitate student success
- international student mobility services for incoming & outgoing exchange students, including pre-departure and re-entry support, as well as ongoing support while overseas
- program development and implementation (i.e. UVic Global Community, CIC information sessions)
- event planning with partner organizations (i.e. student clubs, International Commons)
- sharing of best-practices and data regarding international student services with various internal & external stakeholders
Global Engagement team
- international partnership development & management of international relationships
- oversight of UVic international agreements
- coordinating programs such as Science Without Borders, MITACS Globalinks, ELAP, etc
- organization of events that showcase international education and research at UVic (i.e. International Education Week, International Development Week, guest speakers)
- production of quarterly newsletter highlighting international activities
