Job action information

- Read our Nov. 15 update
The University of Victoria's Board of Governors and members of CUPE locals 917 and 951 ratified new collective agreements, while new agreements for CUPE 4163 (components 1 and 2) and the Professional Employees’ Association have been ratified by union members and are awaiting university board approval on Nov. 27, 2012.
As of Nov. 20, bargaining with all UVic unions is complete except for CUPE local 4163 (component 3), representing sessional instructors and music performance instructors. The contract for that local expired on May 31, 2012. The parties agreed to commence new negotiations under the 2012 “cooperative gains” mandate in November 2012.
This website will remain in place and continue to provide negotiation updates until collective bargaining has been successfully concluded at the university.
