Yes. All students begin their program in September.

Do I have to come to campus?
Yes. There are 3 times when you are required to come to the University of Victoria campus for 3 to 5 days:

  • Last week in August for an orientation to the program and learning support opportunities.
  • First week in May for the first chosen area of focus course.
  • Last week in April at the end of your program to demonstrate and share your project outcomes and learning.

What if I haven't taken a Statistic course?
You may be provisionally accepted into the program with the condition that you complete an undergraduate statistics course (minimum grade of B achieved).

How does online learning work?
All courses are delivered using web-based technologies. You will be using a course management system called Moodle to access your course information and communicate with your instructor and fellow students. You will also use a web-based tool called Elluminate for “real-time” discussions and presentations. To learn more about how online courses work visit the following website: http://distance.uvic.ca/programs/work.htm
