Centre for Studies in Religion and Society (CSRS) - Advisory Council Member
As an advisory group, we support the mandate of the CSRC, provide a forum for dialogue and reflection on the purposes of CSRS and offer input on programs and activities.

As a multifaceted discipline, nursing education invites innovation and creativity. My approach to education embraces a belief that academic preparation in nursing makes a difference in serving patients and families competently, compassionately, and justly. Currently I teach courses across programs in the BSN, MN and the PhD (Philosophy in Nursing). My supervisory role with graduate students includes masters and doctoral students in nursing and interdisciplinary students in the faculty of human and social development.

Scholarship underpins nursing as an academic discipline. My research interests include narratives of living with chronic fatal conditions, Buddhist perspectives of death and dying; contemplative practices in health and nursing education; mindfulness; and interpretive inquiry (narrative inquiry, grounded theory, philosophical inquiry).
