CanAssist
CanAssist's core objective is to help bring about the increased inclusion and accessibility in society of those with special needs. They develop innovative technologies, programs and services that make life easier and more rewarding for those with disabilities.
Centre for Aboriginal Health Research (CAHR)
CAHR is dedicated to promoting and engaging in health research in partnership with Aboriginal peoples to improve their health.
Centre for Addictions Research of BC (CARBC)
CARBC is a provincial research network. It sits at arms length from government while working on shared concerns with government departments, including health, police, education, and liquor licensing.
Centre for Co-operative and Community-based Economy (CCCBE)
(formerly British Columbia Institute for Co-operative Studies [BCICS])
CCCBE is focal point on campus for the promotion of interdisciplinary research and learning on subjects related to co-operative and community-based economy.
Centre for Global Studies (CFGS)

Centre on Aging
The Centre on Aging is a multidisciplinary research centre whose mandate is to promote and conduct basic and applied research throughout the lifespan.
Indigenous Child Welfare Research Network
This Network is a provincial association of researchers, service providers, community members and policy makers with an interest in using Indigenous research in the transformation of child and family services.
Early Childhood Development Intercultural Partnerships
An ongoing program of community-university research contributing to knowledge about conditions affecting the health and development of Indigenous children in Canada and around the world.
Institute for Studies & Innovation in Community-University Engagement
The institute launched on June 3, 2013 builds on the history and context of commitment by UVic to community-engagement embedded in the Strategic Plan. ISICUE brings the university and community together for the well-being of communities, nations and the world.
Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC)
The LTC supports and enhances the teaching improvement efforts of those who instruct at UVic through increased awareness of current research and teaching strategies in higher education.
Local Government Institute

Office of Indigenous Affairs (INAF)
The Office of Indigenous Affairs promotes and supports UVic's Indigenous initiatives, including academic programs, student support services, protocol activities and the First Peoples House.
UVic Family Centre
Located in the Student Family Housing, the Family Centre co-ordinates family initiated activities and programs and offers support to families.
