Remember to register your team for Bike To Work Week (May 27 to June 2). UVic will be hosting some of the regional events on campus including Celebration Stations at The Fountain on May 28 (7:30-9:30 a.m.) and May 30 (3:30 to 5:30 p.m.). Stop by for free treats, bike tune-ups, engraving, and enter to win great draw prizes.

Last October UVic held a campus-wide “Drop, Cover and Hold On” drill for the Great BC ShakeOut. Many people have since asked “ but what should I do when the shaking has stopped”? Learning from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, we’re distributing new procedures for campus evacuation in the event of a damaging earthquake.

Are you looking for a great program on campus for your child on the next ProD Day (Friday, May 17)?  UVic is creating a Science Venture ProD Day Pilot Program to provide on-site programming for school-aged children of UVic staff, faculty and students. You will be able to drop off your children before your 8:30 a.m. workday begins and then pick them up after 4:30 p.m.
