Hut L (HTL)
Due to its age and physical deterioration, UVic is in the final stages of deconstructing L Hut. S Hut is also slated for deconstruction in late 2010 to facilitate preparation for the site of a proposed new athletics and recreation and academic facility that will also be a new home for CanAssist.
The Second World War-era buildings were at the end of their life cycles and no longer provided suitable space for university offices. The University of Victoria is committed to sustainability; construction waste and building materials are recycled or reused wherever possible.
