Equis Re-Accreditation - We Did It!

Gustavson School has been awarded worldwide recognition again. We are pleased to announce a five year re-accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) through its European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
The EQUIS process involves a rigorous self-assessment and peer review visit from academics and business professionals around the globe. Over seventy-five Gustavson faculty members, staff, students, alumni and community representatives directly participated in the process over the past year.
Accreditation is highly regarded in the business school world. “We are delighted to have received a five year EQUIS re-accreditation” states Gustavson Dean, Dr. Saul Klein. “It provides strong external recognition for the great work that we do at the Gustavson School. It also firmly positions us among the top business schools in the world”.
EQUIS principles focus on internationalization and corporate connection, while maintaining high ideals for program quality and research output. Accreditation is essential for enhancing our reputation. Students and prospective faculty members are selecting Gustavson based on endorsement by EQUIS or AACSB. Accreditation by EQUIS is vital to arranging agreements with international partners, particularly in Europe.
Gustavson was first accredited by EQUIS in 2006. Additionally, we were accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools Business) in 2010 and have been an active participant in the United Nation's Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) standards since 2009.
A five year re-accreditation is significant as only 142 business schools in 39 countries have EQUIS accreditation (10 in Canada), and only 45 percent of these have 5 year accreditations. Less than one percent of business schools in the world are accredited by both EQUIS and AACSB – and Gustavson School is proud to be one of them.
