Northwest Aboriginal Canadian Entrepreneurs™ (NW-ACE™)

Northwest Aboriginal Canadian Entrepreneurs™ (NW-ACE™) is a partnership between Tribal Resources Investment Corporation (TRICORP) and the University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business (UVic Gustavson) with the goal of enabling Aboriginal People to start their own successful businesses.

The NC-ACE creates an entrepreneurial mindset through a 6-week modular, skills-based curriculum proven to develop entrepreneurial expertise, followed by a 12-week Entrepreneurial Mentorship. This reinforces classroom concepts and enhances expertise by providing learners with industry and business experience through an apprenticeship, learning-by-doing model supervised by faculty with assistance from mentors. The classroom modules together with the Entrepreneurial Apprenticeship component provide an 18-week experience aimed at providing prospective entrepreneurs with the education and experience needed to serve as a foundation to start their own business.
