Background
Enrico Secchi research interests focus on service delivery systems design and on the transparency of supply chains. His current research explores the performance implications of allowing customer-contact employees in hospitality services to deviate from established processes and routines (i.e., to “improvise”) in order to accommodate guest needs.
In addition, Enrico is collaborating with researchers from several north American universities in a project that aims to understand and offer possible solutions to the problems stemming from the lack of transparency and traceability of food supply chains in North America and worldwide.
Before returning to academia, Enrico was a consultant in the creation and implementation of rural development plans financed by the European Union structural funds programme.
Enrico teaches in the areas of Service Operations and Statistics and Data Analysis.
