Background
Margaret began teaching at the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
At the University of Victoria, she teaches at the Gustavson School of Business, and periodically for the Business, Management and Technology programs section of Continuing Studies. She also teaches in the Accelerated Program for the Society of Management Accounting and previously for Camosun College and University Canada West. Her teaching experience includes Taxation, Financial and Management Accounting, Finance and Business Administration as well as Financial Markets. She is an alumuni of the University of Victoria having obtained a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education and most recently completing the Governance Essentials Program for Directors of Non-Profit Organizations through Executive Programs.
Margaret began her business career in a family-owned small business and has held professional positions in a large Canadian corporation, a Public Accounting firm, and a BC Gov’t Corporation. She is currently the President of a local Community Association and an Executive member of the Board of Directors for a local non-profit. Her interests include wine tasting, gourmet cooking, golf and ballroom dancing when she is not pursuing life-long learning.
