Peter B. Gustavson School of Business

Pat is Assistant Dean of the Gustavson School of Business and an Academic Administrator.  She is responsible for overseeing the Office of External Relations for the Gustavson School of Business, including Communications and Public Relations, Alumni Relations, Development and Community Connections.  She is the primary contact for the School’s advisory boards and the business community. Additionally she teaches in the MBA program.

Pat has more than 20 years of teaching, administrative and training experience. She served as Director of MBA Programs at UVic;  before joining the business school Pat was with the University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Management as Assistant Dean External. She also spent five years as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate programs where she oversaw the operations of the faculty’s campuses in Lethbridge, Calgary and Edmonton. Prior to her administrative responsibilities she taught full time in the Faculty of Management in the areas of Managerial Skill Development, Small Business Management, and Introduction to Management. She also taught Canadian Studies at Hokkai-Gakuen University in Sapporo Japan. She has published in the areas of Aboriginal Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.  She trains in presentation skills, time and priority management and supervisory skills. She has been the keynote speaker at numerous Junior Achievement World of Choices career conferences throughout Alberta.
