Sashie is the Calgary Co-op Coordinator for the Business Co-op and Career Centre, Gustavson School of Business. Focused on ensuring successful co-op work terms, Sashie establishes effective relationships with students and cultivates strategic partnerships with employers in Alberta’s booming marketplace.

After completing her BSc and MA in Anthropology (Primatology) at the University of Calgary, Sashie worked in customer service oriented positions with WestJet Airlines, TrizecHahn Corporate Concierge, and Brookfield Properties Corporation in Calgary. She then returned to an academic setting and has 12+ years work experience in post-secondary environments. Teaching English in Korea for two years, first in a private language institute in Seoul and then at a university in Taejon, gave Sashie an opportunity to gain insight into a rich culture and to travel extensively throughout SE Asia and Europe.

Prior to working at UVic, Sashie worked for the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary in various student advisory roles.

Sashie joined the Business Co-op and Career Centre as a Co-op Coordinator in December 2006. In early 2007, her family relocated to Calgary.
