Peter B. Gustavson School of Business

John is the Associate Director of the Master of Global Business Program.  He serves as the primary contact for MGB students, liaises with MGB partner institutions and is responsible for administrative aspects of the program.  John is also responsible for administering the Management Consulting Projects within the MBA Program, assisting project clients and guiding and supporting MBA students in this major element of their program.

John has been with the Gustavson School of Business for 10 years, and was responsible for co-op activities, primarily for UVic’s MBA students, and for career activities for both MBA and BCom student populations. Previously, John spent two years in the International Programs area of the business faculty, acting as Coordinator of the BCI (Bachelor of Commerce International) program and as the Manager of International Programs, dealing with partner institutions and establishing the International Executive MBA program in Thailand.  

John has also spent 15 years in the field of international development, working on a variety of human resource development and education-related projects in Ottawa and in several countries in Africa for WUSC, the World University Service of Canada.
