Background
After graduating from high school in Victoria, Shawna spent one year studying in the Czech Republic and Austria, and traveling around Central Europe.
Returning home, she completed a BA in German and English literature from UVic. She then spent four years in South Korea teaching English and travelling throughout Asia. She spent the next year in England, before returning to Victoria in 2009. Shawna worked in student services at a language academy prior to joining UVic Business in 2010.
