Adel Guitouni is a defence scientist with Defence R&D Canada since 1998. He holds a PhD in Operations and Decision Support as well as a MSc in electrical engineering from Université Laval. Dr Guitouni is a lead scientist in Command and Control. He has contributed to developing several Command and Control related concepts, solutions and technologies. His research interests include automation of the planning and scheduling, net-enabled dynamic resource management and supply chain management, classification and machine learning, multiple criteria decision analysis, multiobjective optimization, collaborative decision making and decision support systems.
Dr. Guitouni has initiated several collaborative research initiatives with many governments, universities and industries in Canada and abroad. He is the chair of The Technical Collaboration Program Technical Panel 4 on Planning and Scheduling. He has an extensive experience with major collective exercises, training, modelling and simulation. He leads the C2 Domain for the Major Events Coordinated Security Solutions initiative.
On a personal note, Dr. Guitouni cherishes his family life with his wife and his two children.
