The Whistler Experience reaches finals for global education award

-July 24, 2017

The Whistler Experience, developed by the Whistler Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, has reached the finals of the 2017 World Chambers Competition. The achievement builds on The Whistler Experience’s recent global recognition, with the program honoured earlier this year as one of AACSB International’s 2017 35 global Innovations that Inspire.

An innovative service delivery training model, The Whistler Experience will compete for the “Best Education and Training Project” award, which recognizes chambers around that world that are developing capacity-building services to meet the unique needs of their respective communities. The Whistler Chamber of Commerce was selected from among 53 applicants from 27 countries, and will showcase The Whistler Experience to a panel of international judges in Sydney, Australia on September 19. The winners will be announced at the World Chambers Competition awards ceremony on September 21.

The finalists in the World Chambers Awards’ “Best Education and Training Project” category are:

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Turkey)

Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (Germany)

Project: Refugee integration into the labour market
