MBA students from the Sardul S. Gill Graduate School at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business continued to build their reputation for case competition prowess, taking second place in the prestigious East Meets West MBA Leadership Case Competition 2017.

A joint venture between Haskayne School of Business (University of Calgary) and Ivey Business School (University of Western Ontario), the East Meets West MBA Leadership Case Competition challenges students to tackle real-life business cases and balance the fiscal demands of effective business with the ethical demands of effective leadership.

By reaching the finals, Team Gustavson, comprising Daytime MBA students Bodie Elliot, Ankit Sarage, Gözde Ozbilim and Nikheel Premsagar, placed ahead of teams from other top business school from across Canada. To top this achievement, Gözde Ozbilim won the mixed team case competition, in which participants are assigned teams with students from other schools.

The success comes hot on the heels of Gustavson MBAs winning the Schulich Cup for academics at the 2017 MBA Games, and continues the school’s display at the 2016 East Meets West Case Competition.
