Research Description

My primary research focus is oriented towards the intersection of two distinct fields - sustainability and entrepreneurship/innovation.

Interdisciplinary Research

Sustainability research is inherently interdisciplinary as it requires some knowledge of environmental issues, a broad spectrum of business issues (from management, to HR, to IT and R&D) and economic development.

I have conducted research which explores how Victoria and Vancouver Island could evolve to become a premier centre for sustainable development.

Community Collaborations

I assist the Values Based Business Network in supporting the development of a network of business leaders committed to sustainability. I also conduct research primarily for federal and provincial governments regarding markets for sustainable technologies.

I have just begun an international research project exploring sustainable entrepreneurship activity in North America, Europe and Latin America.
