Dr. Stockwell is the new Director of the Centre for Addictions Research of B.C. and is working to develop research programs in the local community and other parts of B.C.

International Research

Dr. Stockwell is involved in a number of international research projects, including:

1. An international emergency room study involving 12 countries and supported by the W.H.O.
2. A review of prevention strategies for harm from substance use.
3. An international review with collaborators in the U.S.A. and Australia on the health benefits of alcohol in moderation.

General International Activities

Dr. Stockwell is a member of the Kettil Bruun Society for social and epidemiological research on alcohol.
