Expertise ProfilePaleoceanography, in which geochemical and isotopic variations found in marine sediments are used to interpret climate and oceanographic history. Community ProjectsMy group is conducting marine geochemical and paleoceanographic research in Vancouver Island fjords, including Saanich Inlet (where we are studying the geochemistry of silver) and Effingham Inlet (north of Barkley Sound) where we are studying the history of NE Pacific climate during the last 10,000 years. UVic Speakers Bureau Pedersen takes part in the UVic Speakers Bureau. |
