Research Description

I research migration in the medieval world, specifically focusing on the Norse North Atlantic. Connected to this research, I study the archaeology of burial and funerary ritual, material culture, gender and life-cycle.

My secondary field of research lies in the scholarship of learning and teaching, where I have an interest in enquiry-based learning and the use of role-play in teaching.
