Tyrone Pile - History

Retired Rear Admiral Tyrone Pile, a UVic alumnus (MA History), was recently honored by the Governor General for his meritorious military service with CFB Esquimalt.

Pile, Cmdr. Christopher Hargreaves and Victoria real estate businessman and honourary navy Capt. Cedric Steele were honoured, among others, by Governor General David Johnston, who also serves as the Canadian Forces​ commander-in-chief. A ceremony was held on Friday (June 10, 2011) at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
