Reminder on input on privacy and information security at UVic

As part of an internal assessment of the Jan. 7-8 privacy breach at UVic, law professor Jamie Cassels has been asked to investigate the circumstances around the incident to determine what lessons can be learned and to recommend steps the university should take to ensure the security of personal information in the future. To assist his assessment, Cassels has been seeking input from the university community. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 29. For further details, see the “Privacy and information security review” section of the university's privacy breach website. Cassels' assessment is a component of the broader review being conducted by former BC Privacy Commissioner David Flaherty.
