With new grants to help you move to Victoria or if you're transferring to UVic from college, we work hard to make it easier for you to get the education you want.

Tuition and fees
You can expect to spend around $15,245 on tuition, fees, supplies, and living expenses for a typical workload of 15 units of coursework over eight months. You'll need additional funds for travel, recreation, and clothing. A breakdown of these costs and information about tuition fees can be found on the registrar's site.
Awards and bursaries
Awards and bursaries
UVic offers $3.7 million in scholarships and bursaries each year. All students are encouraged to apply for student scholarships, bursaries, and loans.
In addition to the general entrance and in-course scholarships, there are more than 40 different awards and bursaries for Indigenous students.
Funding opportunities are also available through the LE,NONET Project, a recent initiative designed to support the success of Indigenous students. You can apply for bursaries, pursue a Research Apprenticeship or Community Internship, or receive an honorarium for participating in the Peer Mentoring program through their office.
Students who demonstrate reasonable academic standing and financial need can also apply for one many entrance bursaries and non-repayable awards.
UVic's Work Study program offers on-campus part-time paid jobs to students in financial need.
Computer Science students are also encouraged to apply to the Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-op Program where they will alternate academic terms with paid, relevant work experience in their field of study. Co-op is integrated into the Engineering program..

Funding and sponsorships
Sponsored Indigenous students should report the name and address of their sponsor to the Office of Indigenous Affairs, who can provide the sponsor with appeal materials or course information on your behalf.
If you are fully funded by an Indigenous organization you're still eligible to apply for a student loan. BC residents can apply to the British Columbia Student Assistance Program. Applications are available in April-May of each year.
