Excellence in teaching and learning
The Faculty of Engineering is committed to excellence in teaching and learning. The Award for Teaching Excellence has been established to recognize and encourage outstanding instruction, curriculum development and innovation in the classroom and laboratories.
Two awards will be presented annually. The names of the award winners will be displayed on a permanent wall plaque placed near the general office of the Dean of Engineering and a certificate provided to the winners.

The Teaching Award Selection Committee consists of:
- two student representatives: one selected by the Engineering Student Society; one selected by the Computer Science Course Union;

- Dean of Engineering (committee Chair).
In the event the Dean is nominated, the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) will chair the committee.
