Support for...
Aboriginal students
We offer support to Aboriginal students throughout their university experience. Aboriginal students are encouraged to self-identify so that they can receive relevant information from UVic.
Career professionals
Many of our students are working professionals who have decided to return to school to upgrade their qualifications or engage in research related to their fields. Our programs are directly applicable to the workplace and are flexible for working professionals.
Finding a graduate supervisor
Choosing a supervisor is one of the most important decisions you'll make in graduate school. He or she will be your mentor and advisor, and you'll work together closely throughout your program.
International students
More than 1600 international students from 100 different countries choose UVic each year. Maybe it's the strength of the Canadian education system, maybe it's the safe environment in Victoria, or maybe it's because we're one of country's leading research-intensive universities.
Mature students
Whether it's been 12 months or 12 years since you were last in a classroom, we can help you meet your life-long educational goals.
Newly accepted students
We're excited to have you with us, and we're committed to making your transition into UVic as seamless as possible.
Students with a disability
UVic works hard to minimize barriers to the academic environment. The Resource Centre for Students with a Disability (RCSD) can provide you with support and help you achieve your academic goals.
