Financing your studies is easier than you think. UVic is offering more scholarships, grants and awards to more new students than ever before.
We've increased the number of major, multi-year scholarships by more than 70%, and 25% of applicants will be offered scholarships next year.
With new grants to help you move to Victoria or if you're transferring to UVic from college, we work hard to make it easier for you to get the education you want.
You can expect to spend around $15,245 on tuition, fees, supplies, and living expenses for a typical workload of 15 units of coursework over eight months. You'll need additional funds for travel, recreation, and clothing. A breakdown of these costs and information about tuition fees can be found on the registrar's site.

Info for Indigenous students
Tuition and fees

Awards and bursaries
UVic offers $3.7 million in scholarships and bursaries each year. All students are encouraged to apply for student scholarships, bursaries, and loans.
In addition to the general entrance and in-course scholarships, there are more than 40 different awards and bursaries for Indigenous students.
Funding opportunities are also available through the LE,NONET Project, a recent initiative designed to support the success of Indigenous students. You can apply for bursaries, pursue a Research Apprenticeship or Community Internship, or receive an honorarium for participating in the Peer Mentoring program through their office.
Students who demonstrate reasonable academic standing and financial need can also apply for one many entrance bursaries and non-repayable awards.
UVic's Work Study program offers on-campus part-time paid jobs to students in financial need.
