Spectacular location

Scenic UVic grounds
With a wealth of natural and landscaped open space across a 166-hectare campus, almost anywhere you walk, you’ll see why the surrounding West Coast campus inspires us.

Nestled on traditional Coast Salish territory on the southern tip of scenic Vancouver Island, UVic’s campus is located in one of the world’s most spectacular and abundant natural environments for you to explore.

Victoria’s temperate Pacific climate, is known to be the mildest in Canada with lower than average rainfall. Victoria has been rated “The Best City to Live in Canada”, and is often referred to as “The City of Gardens”. It offers access to stunning beaches and mountains where you can run, surf, hike or even golf twelve months a year!
