Victoria harbour

Victoria's world famous Inner Harbour and Parliament Buildings

We could tell you that UVic is situated on a stunning 160-hectare campus nestled on traditional Coast Salish territory in one of the world’s most spectacular natural environments.

We could brag about our wonderfully temperate Pacific climate, lower than average rainfall or stunning, beaches and mountains where you can run, surf, hike or golf twelve months a year!

We could boast that Victoria (pop. 335,000) was recently voted “The Best City to Live in Canada,” or the fact we’re known internationally as “the city of gardens.”

Victoria is a city like no other in the world. Located on the southern tip of scenic Vancouver Island it’s an adventure and sporting mecca just waiting for you to explore. We islanders are proud or our diverse heritage, breathtakingly beautiful surroundings and energetic friendly people.

But, don’t rely on our claims. Come to the University of Victoria and experience the best of west-coast magic yourself. Take a campus tour. Meet our professors. Have coffee with the Dean. Walk our halls and feel the energy of the Faculty of Education.
