Your program-specific competencies
Find your program-specific competencies
All academic programs at UVic equip students with program-specific competencies. These are the clusters of knowledge, skills and attributes that can help you excel in your chosen field. For example:
- chemistry students develop competencies in gathering and analyzing data and using practical, safe techniques in the lab
- visual arts students develop competencies in art production and criticism
Understanding your program-specific competencies can help you describe your unique strengths and experience—and express your value to employers.
