What do the foundations look like?
The Co-op and Career foundations are resources to help you plan your career development. We've organized these resources into three kits: the journey kit, the competency kit and the tool kit.
What are the three kits?
The journey kit
This kit includes resources to help you plan and manage your overall career journey. The journey kit includes information about career research, goal setting, self-assessment, networking and more.
The competency kit
This kit includes resources to help you build your professional skills and behaviours, also known as competencies. By assessing your own competencies, you can better market yourself to employers, apply your strengths and recognize areas you can improve.
The tool kit
This kit includes resources to help you improve and maintain basic career development tools, like résumés, cover letters and interviewing skills. The tool kit is especially useful when you're applying for a job or planning your next steps.
