Co-op requirements
To apply to Social Sciences Co-op, you must:
- be a full-time UVic student
- have completed your first year of study
- be pursuing a major in anthropology, economics, environmental studies, geography, political science, psychology or sociology
- meet the co-op requirements of your department as described in the UVic calendar
- have (and maintain) a minimum B average
- be willing to accept work term placements elsewhere in Canada
When to apply
- There are two application deadlines for undergraduate students: Sept 15 and Jan 15.
- Graduate students must apply by Sept 15.
Graduating with co-op designation
If you successfully complete all your required co-op work terms, you'll earn a co-op designation on your degree. Undergraduate students must complete three four-month work terms to graduate with co-op designation. Graduate students must complete two to three work terms.
