Fees and funding
Co-op tuition fee
for BCom students
As a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) student, you must complete three co-op work terms. You'll pay your co-op tuition fee on an installment plan, with one installment per term.
- Business co-op fee installment plan for Canadian students (undergraduate): Six installments of $318.36
- Business co-op fee installment plan for international students (undergraduate): Six installments of $530.61
If you are pre-admitted to the BCom program, you'll start paying the fee at the beginning of second year.
If you're admitted directly into third year, you'll start paying the fee when you begin your third year core courses.
If you challenge a work term (for directly-admitted students only), you’ll pay five installments of the co-op program fee instead of six. You can find more info on transfers and challenges in the UVic Undergraduate Calendar.
If you choose to complete more than three work terms, you can refer to "Undergraduate Co-op Program Work Term" here to see the cost.
Important: Because you’ll be charged each term, tell your academic advisor right away if you’re leaving your degree program temporarily or permanently.
Fees for MBA
and MGB students
All co-op students pay a tuition fee for the co-op program. This supports the operational costs of the co-op program and helps maintain our online job board.
MBA co-op tuition fee
As an MBA student, you'll pay a graduate co-op tuition fee for each co-op work term.
- MBA co-op program tuition fee for Canadian students: $636.72
- MBA co-op program tuition fee for international students: $755.58
Difference between the graduate co-op fee and the grad installment fee
The graduate co-op program tuition fee is different than the grad installment fee. If you're a grad student and you register for a co-op work term, you'll pay the (1) graduate co-op program tuition fee and (2) the graduate ancillary fees during that term.
If you register for a course (e.g. Thesis 596 or 598) and a co-op work term in the same term, you'll pay (1) the graduate co-op program tuition fee, (2) the graduate ancillary fees and (3) the graduate installment fee.
MGB internship fee
As an MGB student, you'll pay an internship fee for each term you are registered in your internship.
- MGB internship fee for Canadian students: $318.36
- MGB internship fee for international students: TBA Fall 2013
