Vida is responsible for animal husbandry at IPA and also works closely with her supervisor, Teri Otto (back), in the tissue culture lab. “The lab work is directly tied to what I studied in my microbiology classes,” Vida says. “I’m feeling more comfortable in a laboratory setting and am increasing my knowledge beyond what I’ve learned in lectures.” Vida is one of many UVic co-op students working with local employers on projects that benefit Greater Victoria and beyond.
